Class OFFERINGS
Yoga has many meanings, shapes, and forms. Our class styles and descriptions are just our interpretations. We express deep gratitude for the opportunity to learn from the origins of yoga. We will continue to honor the history, lineages, and culture rooted within the practice.
VINYASA
Vinyasa is a series of sequential movements between postures that flow together with breath. You can expect both foundational postures and creative sequencing that will strengthen, open, and restore the body.
GENTLE VINYASA
Gentle Vinyasa is the foundational elements of Vinyasa with a gentler and slower approach. You can expect a slow-paced flow that will bring your mind and body into harmony as you explore sensations that allow you to sustain more patience and ease throughout your practice.
HATHA
Hatha yoga focuses on a set of yoga poses practiced more slowly and held for longer periods of time allowing for a deeper understanding and connection to each pose. You can expect a slower paced class with primary postures that focus on breathing techniques and meditation. This is a great place to start if you are new to yoga or for those looking to deepen their practice with the space and time to slow down and explore your body’s subtle nuances within each movement.
YIN
Yin Yoga consists of a series of passive postures that are held for anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes. You can expect a slow, soothing, and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body. The use of props are encouraged to help the body fully relax, and soften.
hatha + yin
Hatha + Yin combines both elements of Hatha yoga and Yin yoga. The first half of practice will focus on holding a set of yoga poses practiced more slowly and held for longer periods of time allowing for a deeper understanding and connection to each pose.
The second half of practice introduces a variety of Yin postures so you can melt into your mat as you work deep into your connective tissues, fascia, and breathe into relaxation.
BARRE
Barre is a full-body class with low-impact movements that are designed to strengthen, tone, and challenge the body. You can expect a hybrid practice that combines the elements of ballet, pilates, dance, strength-training, and yoga. There is a ballet barre in our barre room that will be used for movements, targeting specific muscles, and to provide support as needed while you move.
CANDLELIT RESTORATIVE
Candlelit Restorative is a restful yoga practice that is gentle and still. This type of yoga is a rejuvenating practice that can support our nervous system, while also improving our sleep and energy. You can expect longer passive holds in a series anywhere from 4 to 6 restful poses that incorporate the use of props to fully relax, and soften the body. Flameless candles will be lit for this practice.
