APRIL

HUM Clothing Swap!

Woman choosing clothes surrounded by a white shirt, cream sweater, sunglasses, light blue jeans, striped shorts, and a beige jacket.

Join us for our Inaugural Clothing Swap on Saturday, April 26th, from 11:30am to 2:00pm! This will be a chance to clear out what no longer serves you and refresh your wardrobe with pre-loved pieces.

We'll begin collecting items for the swap on Saturday, April 5th through Sunday, April 20th to ensure everything is organized and ready to go on the day of the event. We’re collecting warm-weather essentials like tops, shorts, skirts, dresses, light jackets, activewear, sandals, casual shoes, and accessories. No winter items, please.

Bring any clothing you’re ready to part with, browse for something new-to-you, and take what you love—all for free! Anything left over will be donated, ensuring nothing goes to waste. As we transition into spring, this is a perfect opportunity to reset, reduce waste, and rethink our shopping habits. Don’t forget to bring your own reusable bags for shopping!

This is a FREE event. Please sign up in advance so we know how many folks to expect. Thank you for your support!

2025 IS THE 30TH YEAR OF ART-A-WHIRL!

The largest open studio tour in the country, Art-A-Whirl happens annually throughout Northeast Minneapolis the third weekend of May.

Over 1,600 NEMAA member artists, galleries, and businesses participate across all of Northeast Minneapolis at 100+ locations. Art-A-Whirl is a fantastic way to connect with artists in their own spaces, enjoy demonstrations and interactive activities, listen to live music, and enjoy local restaurants and breweries. Art-A-Whirl is free and open to the public.

HUM is a proud business member of the Northeast Minneapolis Art Association (NEMAA) and is so excited to have another weekend of art, music, and fun right outside our doors! HUM classes will run as usual with some fun additions! Check them out below and join us! ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

Outdoor Yoga at California Street Farm!

Join us for Outdoor Yoga at California Street Farm! California Street Farm is a queer woman-owned urban vegetable and flower farm located in NE Minneapolis, just a few blocks away from HUM.

They provide fresh, chemical-free produce and flower bouquets through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Shares, the NE Farmers’ Market, and a Monday night farm stand. Come for yoga, and then stick around to shop locally grown produce and flowers at the farm stand!

We will meet at California Street Farm, 72 22nd Ave NE across from Mojo Coffee (right next to the giant rabbit). You can expect for an all-level, vinyasa-style class. Please bring your own mat or blanket to practice on, and any other items that may be helpful for your outdoor practice. We have a limited number of outdoor mats available. If you need to borrow one for class, please reach out to us so that we can accommodate.

This class is $15 for those who are not currently on membership. Registration is required prior to class as space is limited. You can sign up from our website or using the Mindbody App.

In the case of any unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions, we will move the class indoors and will notify you in advance via email and text notification. Please make sure you’re opted in to receive these through your profile.

If you have any questions please reach out. We look forward to sharing space with you outside at California Street Farm!

Restorative Yoga + Massage

Join us for an evening of Restorative Yoga, nourishing touch, and divine relaxation. Sarah Walker is a Certified Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor based in the Twin Cities and will guide you through a dreamy and supportive restorative practice while offering massage and hands-on adjustments while you are in the postures.

Restorative postures will be held for 10-20 minutes with invitations of support from yoga props. This will be a quiet and still practice with music, meant to deeply relax the body, mind, and spirit. Massage will be done in postures intuitively for each person to allow for deep release and restoration. Some places that may be targeted are the neck, shoulders, back, hips, hands and feet. We welcome you to some deep care.

This class is $45 for HUM members and $50 for non-members. Space is limited to 10 people so please register in advance to reserve your spot. All levels are welcome. Tickets are non-refundable. We hope to see you!
